Wood Grades

	First Grade (Prime) The face of the flooring is practically free of defects, but may contain color variations. This is not available in some sizes and is limited in others. Check with your Pioneer Products Representative when considering First Grade/Prime specifications.
	Second and Better Grade This grade admits face defects such as tight, sound knots, green or black streaks, slight checks, and slight imperfections in dressing. Distinct color variations are permitted, but predominately dark heartwood with dark streaks or spots is not included. Sufficient attention is given to appearance to make this grade suitable where a bright appearance is desirable.
	Third and Better Grade Combines Standard Grade with up to 40% Multi-purpose Grade for a medium colored floor at a moderate price.
